What happened to the cotton?

I loved this brand of socks. They used to be more of cotton than polyester. I just bought 6 new pairs and ripped off all the tags only to realize they are more poly than cotton now. Disappointed for sure. Designs are still fantastic but the socks are not for me anymore.

Hi Stacy, thanks so much for the feedback, but I'm sorry to hear you're not thrilled with the composition of our socks. We have not changed the construction materials of any of our socks, and once a design is produced the type of thread we use does not change unless we add any special features such as glow in the dark thread. Our cotton thread is still used to compose the majority of most categories of socks, and the polyester threads are used for knitting in the design. Polyester is the best thread to knit our designs in, as cotton does not create as sharp of pattern, and the patterns cannot withstand the wear and tear of regular use. Since we use polyester thread for the designs, that does mean that simpler socks do have higher cotton percentage since the base of the sock is primarily cotton thread. Lasting!

I had a pair of these I got from Modcloth and they lasted for a little over 2 years. Most character socks last less than a few months. These don’t pill up, tighten or become stained over frequent wear and washing.

I wish they fit my long feet (how about offering larger sizes for those of us who wear size 10 and over shoes?). But I'm sure my knitting- and cat-loving friend with enjoy them.

Not for big feet. They are cute, and yay for more knitting themed socks! However kinda thick and tight for my size 11W
