Unicorn in Captivity Knee High Socks
Alex Hungerford |
These Unicorn in Captivity Knee High Socks are based on a 16th century French tapestry series called The Hunt of the Unicorn. Can you believe that? Yep, crazy as it is, humans have been obsessed with putting images of unicorns on fabric centuries before we decided to start doing it. In that respect, is it be fair to call these Unicorn in Captivity Knee High Socks “the first pair of unicorn socks in recorded history?” Yes, we think it is.
Artist Unknown, The Unicorn in Captivity (from The Unicorn Tapestries), ca. 17th century. Wool, silk, metallic threads.

I really should say these socks are horrible, and then go buy all the remaining pairs. Truth is, they are great socks. Very comfortable- don't leave the "elastic red line" on my legs at the end of the day. I ordered one pair, then went and ordered another after I wore them!
Love these socks!!
I love these socks! So cute and comfy!
These are perfect socks! (Bought two pairs.)
They have the usual sock-it-to-me fit so they stretch perfectly over the foot and stay up without cutting off the circulation. Also... c’mon, this is the best unicorn sock they’ve ever made. CLASSY.
